It isn't really because it doesn't combo off with {Food Chain}

So...I'm sort of freaking out at the synergy between {Monastery Siege} and {Palace Siege} as a possibility for a control deck. They're not legendary, so beyond {Back to Nature} you can make it sooo expensive to remove {Palace Siege} that you can just counter anything else, and if you resolve multiple {Palace Siege}s you pretty much win. With a little help, they're also sweet with {Doomwake Giant}, who is only made better by the new {U}{B} dragon. Usually small sets just add to my existing decks, but this one has me feeling brewtastic.

My bug walkers deck likes the idea of heroes downfall costing 5 mana

I don't think the clans will necessarily die off. Remnants may still fight the dragons in DTK.

This is what I was saying, they could have made a {Sliver Hive} type card, or anything playable. This almost seems aggressively bad, like someone in R&D REALLY hates dragons, lol

I don't think the clans will necessarily die off. Remnants may still fight the dragons in DTK.

You have to realize that we are talking about a completely different timeline, so it is unclear how Dragons of Tarkir plays out, but it is obvious that the story has been set up so that Dragons vs. Khans is the conflict, and it seems silly to say in the end, "well, I guess the fighting didn't matter, so you sat through the story for nothing...."
