Notes:
For the past few months my brewing mind has been focused on one odd dredge card. Life from the loam is a card that has enabled many different strategies over the years. From from filling up your grave and helping to never miss a land drop to draining hands with multiple retraced ravens crime. Loam is a build around card that beckons brewers to stack their grave high and keep a fist of lands. In my most recent brewing adventures I've found myself trying to find a deck that benefits from loam's ability. I ran through many builds from using {Seismic Assault} to ping off life totals to filling my grave with knight to rise from the grave with {Haakon}. All seems to fall apart quick and could not hold up to the meta. After many failed attempts I finally ran across a reanimator list that played 2 loam and one bobo. That moment I knew what I needed to do. Since loam's main purpose is to fill the grave and fill your hand with lands then why not use those traits to their fullest. And so this deck was born. This deck wants to stall as long as possible with lingering souls and thragtusk and then randomly explode in a combo that drains your opponent for a bunch direct damage to the face. I've had a lot of fun playing a building this deck and I'm ready to finally expose it to the public. This is my budget list (if you couldn't tell by the evolvings/expanse) so it may not be the best way to build this deck but it's still rather competitive. I hope you all enjoy the list and maybe try it out at your locals. It's really fun to play and always confuses your opponent. This deck also requires a lot of thinking which is a trait I always look for in decks. Straight forward decks are too boring for my taste. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.

It is a fun brew.  I do not think you have enough early digging.  Just the {mulch} and {life from the loam} are not going to allow you to consistently dig each turn.  {grisly salvage} would help in this instance because you are at 3 colors....otherwise add red and run {faithless looting} ;)

Even {satyr wayfinder} could help early digging while providing a chump blocker.

Or maybe a one of {Splinterfright}. I've never had a lot of success with dredge decks

Splinterfright won't work in this build.  You have the right idea of feeding the GY with his ability, however, the low creature count of the deck and the higher 3 CMC of the fright make him a bad fit.

Hunteroffire9

Wait what's the exact combo, I could build this deck for 12 dollars (have most of the cards) and this looks like loads of fun... I might have to try this out;)

Mattacheu

If you wanted to, throw in a little splash of blue for mill, and use it on yourself. Like a {breaking} or even {dream twist}. One of my friends has a dredge, and he hits himself with glimpses until he has what he needs, and then he had {ghoultrees} on the feild for cheap. If you run out of a library, {laboratory maniac}  hiding behind a bobo works perfectly.

I honesty feel like thougtseize mainboard would be important, to stop disruption of your combo. I would honestly drop the 2 December for thoughtseize or something like that. I feel like having a full discard package would be a great way to stall while assembling the combo (2-4 thought and inquisition main board)

The thing is I don't really need targeted discard if I can put a ravens crime in grave early. Once that's in the grave I can just strip my opponents hand. You don't have to worry about them having a response to reanimating bobo when they have no hand.

where are the tec edges?  they work really good with loam.
{ghost quarter} = budget {tectonic edge} hence the deck name that include the operative word "budget"

$3.9 is still budget to me.  And i'd say tec edge is a must.  ghost quarter gives them something to replace that land you just killed.  sure it will work eventually, but you need the tec edges too.  if you do get them, don't take the ghost quarters out though.
I guess your right. I should add a least one to the main.

I really love this deck and would like to help, this is what I think about the land base:

Current base.
4 {Overgrown Tomb}
4 {Woodland Cemetery}
2 {Godless Shrine}
3 {Treetop Village}
3 {Terramorphic Expanse}
2 {Evolving Wilds}
3 {Swamp}
2 {Forest}
2 {Plains}
1 {Ghost Quarter}

Modified version:
4 {Overgrown Tomb}
4 {Woodland Cemetery}
3 {Godless Shrine}
1 {temple garden}
3 {Treetop Village}
3 {Terramorphic Expanse}
1 {Evolving Wilds}
3 {Swamp}
1 {Forest}
1 {Plains}
2{tectonic edge}

Changes: we dropped a plains for a 3rd godless shrine to help for smallpox, a forest for a temple garden just for extra white, dropped an evolving for a tec edge because of the cut down amount of basics, and changed are destruction lands to tec edges because they are strictly better;)

Hunteroffire9

{worm harvest} could also be interesting;)

Also I thought of {deathcloud}

Budget Bobo Loam

75 cards, 15 sideboard

4 {Overgrown Tomb}

3 {Treetop Village}
3 {Terramorphic Expanse}
2 {Evolving Wilds}

3 {Borborygmos Enraged}
3 {Thragtusk}

4 {Unburial Rites}
4 {Life from the Loam}
4 {Mulch}
4 {Lingering Souls}
4 {Raven's Crime}
4 {Smallpox}
2 {Abrupt Decay}
2 {Dismember}

28 other spells

3 {Thoughtseize}
2 {Duress}
3 {Creeping Corrosion}
3 {Oblivion Ring}
2 {Acidic Slime}
1 {Black Sun's Zenith}
1 {Drown in Sorrow}

15 sideboard cards

After testing this is what I found:

4 {Overgrown Tomb}
4 {Woodland Cemetery}
4 {Godless Shrine}
3 {temple garden}
2 {Sunpetal grove}
3 {Terramorphic Expanse}
1 {Evolving Wilds}
3 {Swamp}
1 {Forest}
1 {Plains}

26 lands
in addition to changes I think in the comment above, I found that with all the things you can do with the combo, and other things you don't really have time for treetop, and sometimes the white is really needed and the land needs to be untapped. I would drop 1-2 treetops for temple gardens.

2 {Borborygmos Enraged}
3 {satyr wayfinder}

6 creatures
I found that this deck really does not need thragtusk to win. It is way too slow for modern to dig so hard just to thragtusk, if your going to be reanimating something it has to be something close to game winning. I think the deck would benefit more from either more digging, like satyr wayfinder, or more removal like {sever the bloodline}, {thoughtseize}, or more abrupt decay which are really important to shut down there anti grave enchantments.  I would move him to the sb

3 {Unburial Rites}
4 {Life from the Loam}
4 {Mulch}
4 {Lingering Souls}
4 {Raven's Crime}
4 {Smallpox}
3 {Abrupt Decay}
2 {Dismember}
1 {worm harvest}

I have modified this deck to the changes I think would help and I will explain why bellow:
I'm testing out sever because there has been several times when my removal has gone to the grave and been a dead card. I have cut down on the combo pieces and upped on the digging with satyr wayfinder, because I would much rather have him then excess combo pieces.

Hunteroffire9

 After testing this deck, it has proven to be pretty good. Its weakest matchup is control by a long shot. Our best chance is to side into a discard thoughtseize/ inquisition deck with a win condition I have not yet decided on.

If anybody has an idea for a good win con that Does not involve the graveyard or the combo please say bellow!

Joshnoodles

I understand where your going with the deck but I can explain why I built the deck the way I did. First I did make a change to the deck. I cut 1 souls, 1 bobo, and 1 pox for 3 grisly salvage for early mill. The reason I played thragtusk was because it pushes the decks into the late game. Your talking about making the deck faster but the way I wanted the deck to run was by pushing into the late game. With a full 4 rites and the thrags it's easy to power through to the late game with the massive life games and the tokens. The deck may be a combo deck but like twin it doesn't have to be. The later the game goes the better the deck does because unlike most combo decks this one takes a long time to set up. That being the case the deck has to be resilient. So I tried to build like that.
