Hey guy-  So, last year, there were tons of fair-quality counterfeit cards popping up here in the US.  WotC took notice, of course, and now we finally have updates!

TL,DR:  They've worked with partners and law enforcement to track down and shut down the printing ring in China, various websites that traffick the counterfeits, and an individual in my own State of North Carolina that was a primary distributor in the US.  No name was given, but I really want to know if it was anyone I know.

So, there's an update.  Still, be careful when dealing with high-profile cards!

I wish they would give out the info of counterfeit cards....then again it could just screw their market hard

I was wondering about the little hologram ovals at the bottom of the M15 Rares & Mythics. It's a shame that people would actually do that. The Nerve!!

You have got to be kidding me right??
That's horrible.
Have you seen some of the alter prices. Not the proxies, the ones that are actual full art & such. I wanted a set of {Vampire Nocturnus} that had been altered. I was going to ship them to the artist and just pay for the painting. He wanted $25 per a card. A CARD.!!!! Needless to say that was a no. The card is mostly black anyway.

IMO that's not a bad price. Not that I would spend that but if it takes some time what would you expect his labor to be? $25 to have him alter it and then mail it back.

It would be a hundred all together. Nothing fancy or anything. Just his legs & black background. I thought it was a little much.

alters aren't quick or easy, and the materials aren't cheap. If it takes him 2 hours a card , and 5-8 dollars in total shipping and materials the guy would be making slightly above minimum wage for his skill.

Some alters are terrible and other ones are better art than you see in galleries

Paint
Supplies
Time

Then you got skill
Education for painting is not free, especially good painting
Ill be having elite alters do an alter to my spare underground sea and it will most likely hold higher value over time

MuggyWuggy

It's SP so that's why I'm  altering it

Alters fetch much more on eBay for staples

Unless you wanna buy it cash :p
