{Athreos, God of Passage} is a huge disappointment, don't waste your time with him. My friend bought 3 when the set came out and thought he had a crazy B/W Aggro deck, but because Athreos is at 3, he really slows you down. Outside of aggro, his casting cost in a critical slot and his devotion is hard to turn on. In conclusion, Athreos really isn't good, but don't realize it until you play with him.

hes actually a bomb in edh. not as the general, but keep saccing cards like {yavimaya elder} and you can filter your deck really well.
