I've been trying for a while now to create a board wipe combo with {dismiss into dream} and the only card that I myself have found to work with it is {nature's panoply}.

I don't like the fact that it requires extra mana per target after the first, but oh well...

So, they come back and then go right out again?

Plus i forgot to mention that I was trying to stay Standard. Sorry.

No, they'd die before they got persist because they'd get targeted, die, and then they gain persist after they're dead.

No, they don't. Cauldron targets your opponents' creatures, triggering the sac clauses. By the time Cauldron's ability resolves, the targets are in the graveyard, which counters the ability if you only targeted their creatures.

To keep this Standard, look into {Battlefield Thaumaturge} and {Gridlock}.

{Dismiss into Dream} works great with  {Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius}. Though it's not cheap in the mama department, once it's set up you can shut most decks down.  {Lightning Volley} might be more what you're looking for though you would need to have creature advantage. That's not really a problem when you have {Dismiss Into Dream} out. Regardless I'd look for tap abilities like  {Vithian Stinger} as backup.

Or {goblin sharpshooter}

 {Boulderfall}
{Polukranos, World Eater}
{Glimpse the Sun God}
{Mogis's Marauder}
And anything with Strive.

One of the most fum ways that I have found is to sacrifice creatures to a {Skygames} to the death. I know it is only at sorcery speed and is worse than board wiping, but it is satisfing to watch as their creatures are carried off one by one to the glory that is skygames.

The card is great against a heroic deck!!!

Not really, it costs seven mana and unless you're playing green, you can't play it any quicker than turn seven*. Heroic decks are trying to win by turn six /at the latest/, so chances are you won't be alive by the time you have enough mana to cast it

*-I can't think of anything at the moment, correct me if I'm wrong though

If they manage to play a mana rock or something like {Burnished Hart} (or however you spell it) it'll get out faster. Green may be the king of ramp but there's some in all colours.

 {Blinding Flare}? Seems to be one of the cheapest strive cards
