I had someone message me asking me to stop trying to post in here but no I will not. It is how someone learns. Any mod can view my messages about it. If what I comment in here is wrong please do not neg, just tell me why it is wrong and be nice about it, treat me as you would want someone to treat you. Thank you. Please do not move. Appreciated

Dude look at it from other peoples' perspectives. You answer nearly every rules question without giving evidence. You more often than not get it wrong. And the ones that you get correct are ones that someone else has already answered correctly and given evidence to support it and you are just regurgitating what they said. All that really accomplishes is confusion for the person asking the question. I've got nothing against you, you seem like an awesome dude. I just wouldn't want you answering my rules questions.

You really should only be answering if you are 100% certain and you have the applicable rule to cite.  If not then at least say "you are not 100%" but I would discourage that type of response in the rules section as peoeple really are expecting definites and not probablies ;)

I have to agree with this. I don't want to be mean, I think you're an awesome guy as well, but most of your answers that are correct are hours after another correct one. If it was minutes, maybe you didn't see the previous one. That's fine. But when you just repeat things, it makes people a little annoyed and want to neg you.

Also, you complain about being negged a lot, but when someone pm's you about it (though maybe not in the nicest way, I don't know), you won't consider doing what they ask. Doesn't make so much sense....

You don't learn by giving incorrect answers to other people's questions, you learn by reading the correct answers that other people post.

The following is quoted from the rules for this forum

2.0 - RULES FOR ANSWERING QUESTIONS

Explain your answer. When users have questions they need answered, it's always best to come up with an concrete explanation. Rules text are not the rules, it's always best to quote the Comprehensive Rules. These resolutions tend to carry more weight when they're explained properly.

Limit Guessing. If you're not sure of your answer, please don't post. Check the Comprehensive Rules or other resources to be sure, or leave the question to someone who is sure. Nothing is wrong about trying to help, but guessing can be misleading to new players.

Guys, he may be wrong, but at least leave his karma alone until he gets the chance to respond.

I just feel that is how someone will learn. I am not trying to give a wrong response I only say what people around my area have ruled.. And I don not think you would like me telling you not to comment on threads. That is the point of a forum. You can post and comment where you please. So yes I will continue to post. And if I answer wrong just be nice about it and say why it is wrong. People do not have to be mean about it as I am not mean to anyone on here. Thank you

not trying to be rude cause i do value the communitys opinion on things. however, if there are rules on the rules post that say dont post unless you know, you should consider that. i obviously disagree with neg karma, but someone asking you not to post unless your sure of an answer is not the same as asking you not to post on the forum at all.

They told me to stop post rulings. To me I think I am right when I post as I said, I only say what I have been told from my area. So I do not mean to be wrong. It is not my intention. I also post to clarify sometimes. But I do not blatantly just post wrong things on purpose.

And when I post on a ruling I usually post a ruling or just agree with someone else. I rarely give an answer.

i dont see anyone claiming that you are intentionally posting wrong things. but you "thinking" that an answer is right is not what this rules board is for. this board is for people to ask questions when they dont know the answer and to answer questions when they do know the answer. i understand you are just trying to help, but if someone takes an answer on a post to be fact and then goes to a tournament and misplays, they could rightfully be very angry.

I'm sure you don't.  But I hardly ever post in the rulings thread unless a question was asked hours ago with no response.  The rules thread is my favorite by far and I spend most of time here just reading and learning of the interactions.
But here's an analogy for you, say a cop arrests you for riding your bike across the street.  Then after a couple of hours in jail comes up to you, appologizes and says that he didn't know you were crossing the street at a legal crosswalk.  Are you going to be ok with the time that you lost because he thought he was doing the right thing?  Or would you want him to make sure what you were doing was cool, maybe even wait for another cop to come over and say that it's legal to do that?
I'm sorry you feel this way about the rules thread so much but in the end I feel it's more helpful to just wait for a more rules oriented person to come along and help out.

and i also just want to say the title of this thread is very negative and doesnt seem like you are actually interested in what the community says. maybe instead of "if you dont like it, fine" how about "just trying to help" or something.

Seems to me that people don't want you to stop posting. They're telling you to back up your answers a little more, with examples from the complete rules, or with explanations. It's better to have those than just say yes or no.

MuggyWuggy

It's apart of the rules to support your answers with rulings; using "I think" is apart of what not to do.

It's not that you shouldn't post rulings, but make sure you add the specific rulings.
