If I used {mimic vat} on a {geralf's messenger} and then token got blocked and killed, would it return? I know it's a copy of the creature, but tokens don't hit te graveyard

Tokens DO hit the graveyard, but the vanish immediately once they do.  By the time the undying trigger tries to bring it back, it's gone.
