I want to make a deck based on {biovisionary} and {mirrorweave}, but i dont have an extensive knowledge of the modern database. There are some important components im missing, such as a reliable way to generate creatures so that i have 3+biovisionary and can win the game

"Assuming it even works, idk if i can cast mirroweave before the beginning of my upkeep" ( it wasn't quoting this for some reason)

Sadly, you cannot. No player receives priority during the untap step, so you can't cast spells. Inspired triggers even have to wait until the upkeep too

MisterJH

I deleted that after re reading biovisionary, its end step not upkeep -.-

Ekann1

Ah. Well, you have an answer anyway :P

Wally

It triggers at the end step not the upkeep.
If you put the triggers on the stack in the right order I don't see why it wouldn't work.

MisterJH

Haha yea i realized it right after i posted it :p

Still dont solve the problem of finding a way to produce creatures

Wingnut

{Clone},  {Progenitor Mimic},  And I know there are more than a few more, just can't put them out there at the moment.

Well ideally id find a way to win by turn 4 with this combo, i only need 3 creatures alive. Its {U} {G} and id probably splash a third color for a useful enough token gen. {blitterblosom} may do though but best case scenario id drop 3 creatures t2 bio t3 mirror t4(assuming uninterupted godhand of death)

But how? Ive never done modern but i really like janky decks. My favorite moden deck is that one guy on heres mill decks (millbox and deep sea millling) because they are both very unusual but very dangerous, they work from what he posts! I want something like that, and id really love to bioviosionary people for the win o.o itd make me quite the happy panda

Would rule 513.3 work in this case?

513.3. If a permanent with an ability that triggers "at the beginning of the end step" enters the battlefield during this step, that ability won't trigger until the next turn's end step. Likewise, if a delayed triggered ability that triggers "at the beginning of the next end step" is created during this step, that ability won't trigger until the next turn's end step. In other words, the step doesn't "back up" so those abilities can go on the stack. This rule applies only to triggered abilities; it doesn't apply to continuous effects whose durations say "until end of turn" or "this turn." (See rule 514, "Cleanup Step.")

Cast {mirrorweave} during opponents end step and win on your upkeep? Does that work?

MisterJH

Haha it triggers at 'my end step' i just thought it was my upkeep when i first posted, theres no problem with my evil little combo.. Except that it doesnt seem to be feasible just yet

Ekann1

maybe something with {sundial of the infinite}? also {teferi, mage of zhafir} and/or {prophet of kruphix} to flash things in. Just watch out for {lighting bolts} aimed at the prophet.

MisterJH

I definitely need protection for him for sure, ive got counters and all that but that costs mana that i cant spare

Is there a card in modern that lets me return to islands to counter a spell? Im pretty sure there is, and icould afford that if i had a lotus bloom suspended to fuel mirrorweave, i just dk if thats actually a card !

Ekann1

{daze}?

Edit: never mind, not legal in modern :(

MisterJH

I think i have it from my budget UG infect deck im going to go look

It may not be modern legal... don't think it is.
