Can you target the same spell twice on the stack with different counter spells?
Say for instance
They play {demigod of Revenge} with 1 mana left open.
Could I target it with 1 {stymied hopes} they pay the mana then I cast a second {stymied hopes} since now they're tapped out to be sure it won't get cast?

Yes: nothing stops you from casting multiple of the same spell.

Alright I just thought might be like
My spell resolved then I have to wait for their spell to resolve. Wasn't sure if I was allowed to wait for the first hopes to hit
They pay their mana then I cast a second.

Players gain priority every time a spell or ability resolves on the stack. Once your counter resolves and he pays the {1}, your opponent will gain priority with his creature spell on the stack, when he passes priority back to you, it is still a legal target for your counter spell.

It looks like this: They cast {Demigod of Revenge}, they pass priority, you cast {Stymied Hopes}. The first counter resolves after everyone passes priority, then when your friend passes it back to you, you can cast the second.

Alright. Thanks that honestly made me understand priority a lot better too!
