Dack Spoiled:

Source: go to this article: https://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/ld/293 scroll down to 2 and type in "paliano". It's weird, but it works.

I think its uh... Not too good? Unless you ult?

MisterJH

His -2 is really limited and his +1 gives no advantage, even his ult isnt for sure useful... If his +1 had you discard 1 card hed be a billion times better, as is hes well.. Tibalt-like

I really want to keep an open mind about dack honestly. He's coming in a set geared entirely towards limited play. The -2 COULD be good depending on what's in the set, but it isn't flexible. His +1 is good to me because he's going to get you what you need rather quickly, mitigating your pointless top decks, and his pop.. Well, I don't know. Knowing U/R it seems useful, but still you have to cast a spell that targets to see some stuff happen

Guys, he won't be legal in many constructed formats. He is specifically designed for multiplayer and he is quite good in EDH. He is a turn three "take someone's mana rock". He can also be used to loot (which helps you find lands and answers to threats your opponents play) and if you ulti him the game can get ridiculous. This isn't a planeswalker designed for Standard playability, he is strictly designed for casual players.

He'll be legal in legacy. Probably won't see play but maybe someone will break him somehow.

If you played {R} {W} {U} Have that blue card from Journey into Nyx (can't remember the name) that reduces the cost by 1 per target, use his ult, play something like  {Glimpse the Sun God}

Stoneco1d869

I think he is beastly, nice way to filter your deck and only a 3 drop. I think you guys are being a little hard on him.

In legacy 3 mana is a lot... But like I said, I'm sure he'll find a home somewhere. ;-)

Coffee Vampire

In EDH he's very good. Artifacts are the main source of ramp in most EDH decks. Stealing someone's {Sol Ring} or {Gilded Lotus} is a pretty useful ability. And drawing 3 cards a turn is so good, even if you discard 2 after. Who cares if you have to get rid of 2 useless cards a turn when you replace your draw with {Ancestral Recall}? His ult is interesting.

MisterJH

I think hell be super fun in EDH for sure

Ill probably get a couple just cuz

I wanted him to be dimir though

I think most of you are forgetting that in Legacy, people play Jittes and Swords of Cash and Money (mostly Jitte) because voltroning {True-Name Nemesis} is busted. Let's also not forget that Vintage decks tend to use a lot of artifacts (most of the P9 are artifacts). I think Dack has the potential to make a splash in those formats.
