I've been reading that elvish mystic is a better option in this build than sylvan because u can get Witchstalker out on turn 2 rather than 3... Or maybe try 2 of each and see which u like better

I've tried; turn 1 Gladecover, turn 2 Sylvan is a great start. I can always play Witchstalker later and that's just fine with me :)

O ok, I run a similar build with red splash instead of blue for madcap skills and boros charm... And it's nasty! Elvish mystic into Witchstalker and start dropping enchantments ASAP... It's just a blow out... I like to hit that Witchstalker b4 control has its land up ready to counter it... Once it's down I'll just hold onto boros charm for dear life! Lol

Very true! I'll definitely consider it :) +1 for the helpful comment.

Changed the deck guys! Let me know what you think :D feel free to test play and stomp some meta-tastic decks.

I like the {plummet}s - nothing like a good Ol common to ruin your day

Sparkle Ninja

I used to love {Grounded} when it was standard because it was my only way of taking out the stupid big demons and crap and just wreckedy wrecking them

So this ran REALLY well last night for the first time! I had 1 Draw (against a BUG Lifelink deck), 3 Wins, and 1 Loss. Now I know for sure what its weakness are.

I'm having a terrible time with Mono-Black (as is everyone right now). The two cards I for sure need help defending against/getting rid of are {Devour Flesh} & {Lifebane Zombie}. I've condsidered adding {Brave the Elements}, {Shielded Passage}, {Druid's Deliverance}, {God's Willing}, or {Silence}. I know {Silence} is a really cheap way to slow Black down, and {Brave the Elements}/{Shielded Passage}/{God's Willing} would provide some protection from spot removal/detention/bounce spells. I just really don't know what else I can take out to make it more streamlined o_o;;

SIXTY CARD SLOTS JUST ISN'T ENOUGH!

LadyGrixis

**I just added in 2 {Brave the Elements}. We shall see how this runs.

Might I recommend switching to blue black devotion?  You manipulate pain seer to draw all the best low cost dudes like {pack rat} {thassa! god of the sea} {night veil specter} {desecration demon} etc! it has plenty of removal! alternate win cons! hand disruption! etc.

;)

I'm going to be playing Blue/Black devotion regardless, but that's not at all helpful for this deck Taysby.....

Have you considered {Loxodon Smiter} even for sb? Hes great against those decks that run black. And not being able to counter him is pretty substantial.

I really have, but like I said, he just dies far too easily. I ran him in the main and he always resolved, but he almost immediately got {Doom Blade}d or {Devour Flesh}ed or some other type of removal. I wouldn't say he's a wasted turn, because he IS a threat; but he just never stuck around.

I also want to say add another {selesnya charm} for removal vs gods and mono black and such! but I don't know what to take out.

I was running a 4-of, but I took out 1 {Selesnya Charm} and 1 {Ready//Willing} to make room for 2 {Brave the Elements}, which is a quick save for my Fleecemanes, Voices, etc. {Banisher Priest} is great, but you can't attack with him and he's easily removed. He also costs 2 White, which is a problem when I'm running a more Green-heavy deck.

LadyGrixis

He's been on my maybe list for some time now; he just doesn't work as well in this deck as other things. I'd put {Loxodon Smiter} back in before {Banisher Priest}.

Depending mana available an idea for devour flesh is to use your Seles charm for a quick token figure
