Time limit has been reached, I should have the image up tomorrow
Idk why but your user image always reminds me of the Limit Break Braver from FF7
Nice profile pic :) Why the change?
There's so many faces on this forum...so few...smiles ;)
Plus Mr. J is the best nobody can deny.

I don't really have time for this right now, so I haven't really been able to do anything, if you or someone else wants to take over and continue the contest in a new thread, or still in this one that would be cool...

Birdbrain

Here's my mechanic for this round

Ectoplasm-- when this creature is put into the graveyard from anywhere, you may pay {B}. If you do, put a 1/1 black spirit creature token on the battlefield

Kaworu, the Fifth Child

Prosper- Whenever another creature enters the battlefield that shares one or more creature types with this creature, you may pay X, where X is the amount of creatures you control times 2. If you do, something happens.

For example, it could be something like out a token onto the battlefield, put X counters on this creature, or you gain 3 life. It could be anything like that.

IntoFire

Vehemency 3 - Whenever a player casts a spell that shares a color with this creature, this creature deals 3 damage to target creature or player.

Skyshadow731

Kaworu, the Fifth Child

My bro came up with this one, it's a new type of mana.

It's negative mana, it would look like -{G}
When you cast it, add that much negative to your mana pool, but it would have some really crappy effect.

Like this,

Slickaren (A bad name tho) -{B}

Creature- Snake

When Slickaren enters the battlefield, you lose 3 life.

1/1

I suppose I'll take over judging. Don't know when I'll start the judging process for this round, though.

Skyshadow731

Parasite{3}{B}

Parasitic creature
Lifetap- when ever this creature is casted fron your hand you may chose a player. That player gets. At the beginning of that players upkeep, that player may choose to tap all of there land if they do they gain X life where X is equal to the amount of lands that tapped.

Whenever an opponent gains life you gain double X. Where X is the amount of life they gained . 2/2

Alright, thanks...if you want the name of the thread changed just message me.

To simplify things, I'll judge on Fridays. So Round 5 will start as soon as I post the winner.

Devouring spiral            {3}{U}{U}

Instant

Put all creatures on top of their owner's libraries. Each player shuffles their library.

Sorry I didn't deliver the results on Friday like I said. I was busy.

The winner of this round is Mishra, with his Prosper mechanic! I like how it makes use of creature types, which are so often ignored. It gives a boost to tribal decks, which are often fun to see work.

The next challenge is... *drum roll* ... Planechase! Instead of making regular old cards, we're going to be making Plane cards and Phenomenon cards!

For those of you who don't play Planechase, a Plane card has at least one static or triggered ability that applies to all players and a Chaos ability that triggers whenever someone rolls the chaos symbol on the planar die. A Phenomenon card is like a Sorcery card for the planar deck: It's a one-shot effect that triggers when you planeswalk to it and planeswalks away when it finishes resolving. I can post examples if need be.

Design away!
