So we are on the verge of a deal that would dismantle Iran's nuclear program and bring us a step closer to peace in the Middle East. Everyone, including Iran, France, Russia, and Britain have agreed to the resolution, but our Congress has decided to block it and vote for more sanctions on the nation. The only defense these people (both Democrats and Republicans) have are that they haven't read it. I just love America! Here's a hint to our Congress: when you hold someone down by their throat and threaten them, they naturally don't like you, but maybe if you were to show compassion, we wouldn't have so much fighting.

Do we relly believe that Iranians me those guys will really hold to their end of the bargain?
There is no way they could fight the entire UN so them backing down is just a matter of time. Also, they are getting sanctions lifted and billions of dollars so their crippled government and economy can finally get back to normal. There is no reason to believe they would defy the deal.

That is really messed up. Congress needs a complete overhaul, and badly. Get rid of every last one of those corrupt imbeciles.

Personally, I'm interested in what the UN inspectors have to say about Arak. I've yet to hear anything since December...

What is arak?

Ertai

Guess that's why. I don't go in Wikipedia.

Arak that I know is a booze similar to uzuo

It is better that they struck it down, than passing it without reading it.  Yes, it is bad that they didn't read it, but with the fact that they didn't, they took the best option.
There's hardly room for solace in their incompetence.

I get what you mean, though.

Second this.

I am waiting for the day that we can live in a civil anarchy. All forms of government are inefficient by nature and need to be abolished.

Loving in civil anarchy will NEVER work.  There will always be those who want just what they want.  They don't like this person?  They kill him.  And when the civil anarchy tries to take him away, he kills them and it never ends.  There's you sands of those types of people.  Then there's those who steal, rape, etc.  there needs to be government to prevent total chaos.  I'm all for a really small government, bt there needs to be some government.

Also, with the anarchy, how would we deal with foreign nations?  Manage currency?  Provide infrastructure?  Etc.

We cannot have a perfect world because people are imperfect.
There would be no foreign nations because there would be no nations.
The key here is to be civil and not kill other people because they could kill you too. If we acknowledge that everyone wants to live, there will not be any murderers

there will be murderers, there will always be evil, do you think that every single person will acknowledge the value of human life as priceless and not kill people? because they wont, sociopaths, psychopaths, and moralless people don't care for the lives of anyone who gets in their way, the government can never entirely stop crime, nothing can.

Valid point. Anarchy theoretically works perfectly, but cannot be used in practice because people are imperfect. Sorry if that was unclear.
