Advice on some cards to possibly throw in with a deck like I'm building would help a lot too

It depends on what kind of deck. But a mono black with relentless is awesome but also expensive.  {Pack Rat} is good too. But edh? Modern?

I'm just building some casual decks to play with my girlfriend and friends and such I have a few pack rats and I agree those are nice too
