Suggestions for laptop?

I don't know tons about computers but from my experience macs hover in the middle and higher end of the computer spectrum but pcs can run much lower and much higher than macs it just comes to how much your willing to spend. When it comes to macs though I find them very over priced to me is that just me or it that true.
