So what are the pro's and con's of a mono b or w deck?

Shivix

Blue pros: Card advantage and counter/ control spells.

White pros: Wrath of god effects.

To name a few.

Greg54js

B is black. U is blue.

Black Pros:
Whole lotta creature control. If you're going monoblack run cards like {Geralf's Messenger} and {Phyrexian Obliterator}

Black Cons:
No permanent targeting cards. If an opponent resolves a shrine or planeswalker, it's there to stay. Lots of life loss: {Phyrexian Rager}, {Dismember}(Kinda), and {Mortis Dogs}.

White Pros:
Anthem effects such as {Honor of the Pure} and {Intangible Virtue}, good synergy with {Mirran Crusader} and {Angelic Destiny}. Permanent targeting like {Oblivion Ring}

White Cons: not a whole lot of Creature killing, {O Ring} isn't instant, {Sword of War and Peace} hurts, a lot. {Phyrexian Onliterator} isn't white.

This only has to do with Standard.

😓 I feel stupid. Don't run Monoblue. Can't stand on its own. Needs big brother B or W to help it out.

lol it's okay. and yeah blue needs a second color.

Mblitz

Kk I want to build a deck centralized around frost Titan! Any ideas?

I agree that blue works great with other colors but I have to respectfully disagree that it NEEDS a second color :)  I've played some strong mono blue artifact (do blue artifact decks still count as mono?) and mill decks.

High Tide is Blue, and that's been considered one of the best decks ever :P but yes, in Standard mono blue is just... blargh.
