The reason why is because Karn resets the game... Basically it's a new game, except for the cards that Karn exiled... He created a brand new universe!!!

Ok, this is where I grt confused. It doesn't say start a new game, just restart the existing game. So if you just restart wouldn't your emblem still be attached?
