Duel Decks: Jace vs Vraska (Baseless Speculation and Spoilers)

This duel deck is horrible and lacks any sort of flavor. In the RTR 3 part novels centered around jace, there is no mention of any sort of conflict between jace and vraska.  In fact ral zarek and jace had a big battle at the end of the implicit maze. 

And as everyone else is already voicing the art is horrible. 

This makes me a sad panda

We don't even know what's in the decks.

Between the stupid looking art, the reprint of both planeswalkers in RTR (which is just lazy) and the blatant disregard of any logical story line, I have to agree with Leevai420

Jace vs Domri would have been awesome, as would Jace vs Ral, seeing as they actually fought

Also, on Drive to Work #62, Mark talked about how they're trying to find a balance between telling lore through cards and the books. So Jace and Vraska could very well get into a fight and this Duel Deck is Wizard's way of telling that story. Doing it through cards instead of novels.

No one uses duel decks as serious decks.They aren't standard legal and many times aren't even modern legal (and especially not modern playable). It would be interesting though to show up to FNM with one of the decks and see what people say...

Have you ever tried one of these premade decks? I've only ever bought 1 which was ajani vs bolas. The bolas deck had fun cards but the ajani deck simply won games. I played my friends casual, legacy, modern and standard decks...sure he won a few games but the honest conclusion was the ajani vengeant deck was well made and won a lot more then it lost. Let's wait till the decks are spoiled before drawing conclusions. As stated before art and lore matter not in a game.

Well yeah but I'd rather get quality cards out of a DD rather than something thrown together for the sake of sticking to the lore.

M point is everyone is grumbling about how Vraska and Jace never fought, but who cares as long as they put some sweet stuff in the decks?

Same story with the Knights vs Dragons decks, the Dragon deck was cool but slow. The Knights deck, however, dominated our play group for weeks!
