What is the format and what should I expect?

From what I understand, it's going to be a cooperate thing versus a big, overpowered deck (similar to Archenemy). As for the format, I assume it's standard.

In standard, you should expect red/green hydras pounding face. If you're playing with them, expect them to get bounced or killspelled.
