I would toss in experiment one in here. Since you have the phalanx leader the experiment almost has a constant way of getting counters. He'll survive wrath effects and give ya another human.

Ok, lost in the finals against a mirror match, but did over 30 dmg and gained 20 life off 2 mana, need to put  {Mutant's Prey} in the side board.
