Who comes off better?
(I did this trade and in hindsight I'm trying to see if I did good or not)

I'd say guy 1. Storm breath is IMO better than thundermaw, and will only go up for the next 2 years.

Looking at monetary value, Guy 2. Stormbreath+Elspeth is $64 and 4 Thundermaws is only $52.

This probably didn't make sense. I thought this was post-trade. The person receiving the storm breath dragon got the better end IMO.

Using straight up values you lost about $12 but if you value the cards you got higher (i.e. you'll actually use them) it was probably worth it.

$12 shortfall? I wouldn't worry about chump change, you got what you wanted for cards you're not interested in. I trade what I need, never look into long term investment and if I lose a couple of bucks so what. Enjoy the cards.
