For real though.  I've had several girls that were friends get me certain cards (foil {Olivia voldaren}) but I personally like it better when we just play.  I find it more fun to hang out then to buy gifts, even though I always get gifts for them.  Or there's always the simple solution...

Magic is great and all but I tell my lady to not spend money on cards for me. My collection is large enough to where I can geek hard enough to get my stuff needed through trades.

She has however gotten me a very limited figurine from the original line of American McGee's Alice, the catepillar! That was something she had to search for and that she also enjoys.

Cards are great but I feel unless you can find him an oversized commander card, you're better off with an amazing dinner, a game with each other and snuggly wuggly time after is a hard one to beat.

If I had to pick a gift, maybe one of the shirts with my guild from the wizards store "izzet" in your case.

Or a playmat with my favorite plainswalker or legend.
You could ebay the game day mats or find a custom made
