Esper Control or Grixis Control

I need some help deciding if I want to make an Esper or Grixis control deck. And I also need help figuring out what to put in the deck I make since I don't usually run control. All help would be appreciated.

Esper has the best control. All I have to say, I've never Piloted one myself but I've seen both played.

That's how I feel, but I LOVE Grixis colors enough that it makes it kind of a tough decision. And every deck list I look at of good Esper control decks is expensive, and I have no money.

UWR has best range. Better than esper and grixis.

From what I understand, the main difference between the two (at a basic level) is that Grixis is more proactive with things like {Thoughtseize} so you remove threats before they even get played, and Esper is more reactive with things like counters and board wipes to deal with threats after they're played.
