Posted for Wackaman9001 to compare with his version...

Wackaman9001

This looks really good, and looks like i need to make major modifications to my deck, plating will dominate alone and I hadn't even considered master of etherium

whitedrake

Yeah I am more than satisfied how the deck performs...;) mostly t4 win if it is not against deck witch is really heavy on removals...;)

DeathlyFoiend

- Mountain
- Springleaf Drum
- Galvanic Blast

+ Etched Champion
+ Steel Overseer
+  Glimmervoid.

And for your sideboard, you need major additions to it.

All is based on meta you play in... I do not want to play more etched champions because they are really bad in situations when I face other affinity decks... My meta is full of Affi unfortunately...;) And overseer is good as 3 off... I better have bigger chance to get drum then him... OI tested it with 3 drums and I simply like it in almost every opening hand...:) Oh and there is one card that I do not have in sideboard but I am using it right now as a sideboard card here in this deck... And that's {Torpor Orb}

Then play Master of Etherium as a complete 4 of. They are a hose against affinity. Limiting to only 24 creatures ends up hurting and slowing down your speed against other affinity decks.
Steel Overseer is Cranial Plating 4-8. Run four because they can decide the game in a moments notice and you have more capabilities to draw them while still having resources. If you don't get rid of Springleaf, lower it to 3, etc then only run 2 Galvanic blasts having them at 3 is the best you should do with Affinity. No more. 4 is taking away from creatures.

As I said I am more than satisfied how the deck performs and I am not going to make changes I posted it here only for Wackaman that he could see other variation of Affi and inspire his robot deck...;)

This really isn't a variant, it is just weaker ideas from the core. The other variants are Burning and Colorless, ones that actually have posted tournament results. This deck is just a weaker forum if the U Affinity, so I really can't think much of it.

whitedrake

Mhmm Taysby almost every *Robot* deck is called affinity... That's based on how the archetype started... During some time the most affinity cards were replaced name retained... if you would google affinity decks you would see that there are also decks called affinity that do not use any card with affinity mechanic. The name is used because of the affinity was mostly key worded for artefacts and its custom to call artifact based aggro decks as affinity decks...;)

imthelolrus

Yeah, this is actually a very typical list ATM, I still mainly use the older r/w one.  With {Steelshaper's Gift}  {Shrapnel Blast}. I do love thoughtcast but haven't found the r/u version to be anymore efficient. My only critique is adding a few blood moons to the board.

What's your meta like?

whitedrake

#11
Oh I actually have blood moons in sideboard...;) 2 of them actually this was first version I stored in builder few months ago... I changed sideboard a little since...

My meta is mostly affinity, splinter twin decks, infect, two junds and one melira pod deck...

I am mostly in Top4 with my version it is balanced for my meta...;)

I will adjust it in builder and repost..;)
