Hahaha, I used a horrible Bant Pillow Fort in May, before I had ever heard of Pillow Fort, and I got DESTROYED by the Possibility Storm Combo but I keep going and cast {Archon of the Triumvirate} like 24 times.

I was playing a mill deck against an Aggro deck. We both mulled to four. I won by milling him for  {Consuming Aberration}. I was very happy.

My favourite win I had was last week at my first fnm against an opponent playing a w/b exalted deck. I was playing with my Izzet deck and he cast  {Serra Avatar} which I countered with  {Essence Backlash} to win the game. :)

That works? Doesn't it have to hit the field first? (I'm still new so I'm not sure just asking)

My favourite moment was last week when I won my first FNM. It was 3 rounds followed by a Top 8. I went 2-1 in the rounds then I crushed my opponents in the Top 8 going 2-1, 2-0, 2-0! I couldn't believe I won lol that's the power of Bloodrush +  {Wild Beastmaster}

Won two weeks ago with my {Azor's Elocutors} and {Fog} deck. Was pretty funny. Most people were playing aggro too.

That's not bad! And who cares FNM is for fun, deck testing, and meeting new people. I don't go to an FNM to win I go to play against decks that I've never seen before and to meet fellow magic players in my community! It's a great way to learn about the game!!

I thought the same thing but according to the rulings that's how it works.

The ability that defines {Serra avatar} works in all zones, not just the battlefield. From rulings..
