If I have a {Varolz, the Scar Striped} and another creature,it's my opponent's turn.He hits my Varolz with a {Shock} can I activate his ability during my opponent's turn?

Agrus Kos, Enforcer of Truth

No, the last sentence says "Scavenge only as a sorcery".

Edit: Sorry, stupidity. Yes you can activate the activated ability of sac a creature, regen during his turn.

No, I mean his ability:
Sacrifice another creature: Regenerate Varolz, the Scar Striped.

Yeah, I realized that right after I posted and corrected it. Yes you can.

Yes, unless it says otherwise you can activate an activated ability whenever you want to. You can sacrifice a creature to regenerate Varolz at any point during the game.

To be exact, the next time you receive priority.

Active player has priority.

AP: cast shock
AP: pass priority
NAP: activate varol ability

If nothing else is activated/casted and priority passes, it gets resolved LIFO (last in first out) and the shield will be generated, then the shock resolves. If varol receives lethal damage the shield will kick in.

Agrus Kos, Enforcer of Truth

So...unless the Active Player just refuses to pass priority, yes you can use the ability.

614.8. Regeneration is a destruction-replacement effect. The word "instead" doesn't appear on the card but is implicit in the definition of regeneration. "Regenerate [permanent]" means "The next time [permanent] would be destroyed this turn, instead remove all damage marked on it and tap it. If it's an attacking or blocking creature, remove it from combat." Abilities that trigger from damage being dealt still trigger even if the permanent regenerates.
