Though that would be true due to the incredibles theory (if everyone is super, no one is).  I'm pretty sure kryptonite is just fragments of the planet, making the whole planet a "cure" for the "superpowers".  Just my take.
Yes, but the thing is he can't do what he could do while others can, so he's the only NOT super one.

I'm not following you.

On earth he can do awesome stuff because his DNA is different, but on Crypton, he can't do that stuff for some reason and everyone else can.

On the Georgia state quarter there is a whole county missing on it. It's in the upper left hand corner of the state. The reasoning behind I t is that that county conceded from the union before the state and never went back.

Not exactly true... Another name for Earth is Terra... Which is derived from Gaia...

Superman is an alien from krypton and is allergic to kryptonite

That is because on krypton he is "human"

And his DNA adapted to Earth, and on Krypton he isn't use to the environment, and his powers are useless because they cease to exist, in a way.

Superman received his powers from the sun. His powers are limitless.

Woah woah, I'm not missing an opportunity to nerd out here.

Superman (like all Kryptonians) has no powers on Krypton because of its sun and high gravity. On earth, he has power because of our lower gravity and yellow sun.

Kryptonite is indeed pieces of the planet Krypton floating about. All kryptonite is radiated and poisonous to whoever comes into contact with it. This normally isn't a huge deal, but kryptonians absorb energy like sponges. So all that radiation gets absorbed super fast and hard by Superman, giving it a stronger effect on him.

It's slightly more involved than that, but that's the basic rundown.
