Creatures with infect.

Can creatures with infect attack a non poisoned enemy? Or do you have to find a way to poisen them first? 

Also do the -1/-1 counters regenerate?

Yes they can attack

Yes you can regenerate it but it still has the counters on it do it will die

The only way i can think to remove them is a) add + counters and b) moving the creature between zones (hand, GV, etc)
