What is your all-time favorite video game series?

What is your all-time favorite video game series and why? my favorite series is the Lost Planet series by Capcom. I grew up attached to these games, and now that number three is coming out in August I'm super hyped for it! Lost Planet is what Third person sci-fi shooters should be! the story and gameplay are adequate, but what I love are the weapons and boss battles! btw, [DO NOT STAND ANYWHERE NEAR A BUSTER GRENADE] just a little safety tip.

Final fantasy, that's easy.  Up until this recent generation they were the premier rpg IMO.  There have been other great contenders but SE is a terrible developer now and it seems like they only publish good titles.  They might be doing something great with ffxv but who knows, my favorite rpg developer now is Level 5

Loved ultima, zelda, fallout, civ, and elder scrolls but final fantasy captivated me. Anything prior to ffx is solid. 10 was enjoyable but it marked a departure from most of what I loved about final fantasy.

Final fantasy. 7-8-10 1-2 are all ive played but im sure all there games are amazing (visually at the very least) except for tactics I didn't care for. But still. Just the best.
Devil may cry only got to play through DMC1 but loved it
Megaman 2 and X are the best
Zelda the trio is awesome the SNES games are awesome,..it's just a great series always. Everyone didn't like the DS ones but I didn't think from what Ive seen that they were THAT bad can't wait for a link between worlds
Sonic unleashed. Shadow. Original sonic. Ugh it's just great
Mario simple easy to play great with friends
Street fighter II is the best Capcom vs snk is good too. (even though every new character is a cheap Ryu clone)
F-Zero especially the one for GameCube
There's so many more that have places with me but these are the most well known and I'm sure I'm not the only one who loves them.

Final Fantasy (10 and before,) Zelda (Skyward Sword is my favorite because it was a departure from the normal Zelda game; Link to the Past is my second favorite,) Mario (I hijacked my wife's 3DS XL so I can play Super Mario Bros. 2,) and now that I started Oblivion, Elder Scrolls can be added to the list. Call of Duty almost makes the list, but I've only played Black Ops II. Sometimes you just want to blow crap up.
