BW Control 60 cards, 0 sideboard 8 {Plains} 4 {Godless Shrine} 12 {Swamp} 24 lands 1 {Crypt Ghast} 4 {Blood Baron of Vizkopa} 3 {Lifebane Zombie} 8 creatures 4 {Doom Blade} 4 {Orzhov Charm} 4 {Grim Return} 3 {Duress} 2 {Diabolic Tutor} 4 {Devour Flesh} 4 {Blind Obedience} 3 {Silence} 28 other spells Sideboard Notes: I'm currently on a $100 budget, so I can't use any super expensive rotating cards like LotV. Any suggestions to make this better? I've never played control before, and cards seem to be low-costed enough right now that I decided to try it.

Doom blade is no longer standard. But the zombie you have in here seems like it would be a better sideboard. I would def add a 4th silence. Also the blood baron is more useful with an extort deck in my opinion and it doesn't seem like you have enough cards to gain life in order for its triggered ability to be useful. Maybe a {Debt to the Deathless}? The cost of X for that card shouldn't be a problem with more crypt ghasts

 {Doom Blade} is m14 and Is standard legal, and I would say as something late game throw in a teysa or early game desecration demon.

I definitely like desecration demon in this. I'd cut the blood baron for it. One more silence and a Teysa also sounds good. Also, with the amount of basic lands, I like isolated chapel in here.  Given that you're on a budget, I'd mane cut a godless shrine to save the money.

Imposing sovereign seems nice also for aggro match ups. For what it's worth

^and it's an enchantment. There is Less enchantment hate in standard than creature hate.
