Sundering Titan

So when I played a {Sundering Titan}, I chose one plains, mountain, island, forest and swamp that my opponents controlled, and destroyed them. Now for whatever reason, they think I have to do the same. Aren't I correct in saying that since it reads "a land of each basic land type", it's only one that I choose? Thanks for confirmation.

Confirmed. One of each. They're just being 💩heads. 😜
But, you will have to target your own if your opponents don't have a given type. What I mean is you have to pick one of each, so if you are the only one with an {Island} on the table, you have to chose that as the island to destroy.
