After some thinking here are some thoughts I have had on speculation. The new clone rule discourages cheap unflavorable kills on legendaries and emcourages using each printing of a planeswalker to it's fullest.

On the planeswalkers this allows the same walkers to be printed and revamped at both higher and low CMC reguardless of what else sees a lot of play. No more {jace beleren} legend blading {jace, the mind sculpter} situations. Meaning new Elspeth could very well be a 3cmc just as much as a 6cmc. New garruk is a good example of this new playability dispite smaller garruks seeing lots of play.

As for legends and specifically gods...think eldrazi. It takes a lot of investement to make an eldrazi happen and once you get their 4cmc {clone} should not be an end all to all your hard work. With this concept in mind I am anticipating the gods being a similar or even greater workload to play with a high rate of return in their sheer power now that cloning is not the ultimate FU.

A lot of work... You mean like  {Lotus Petal},  {Ancient Tomb},  {Show and Tell} ---> {Emrakul, the Aeons Torn} ----> win?

There's no reason I shouldn't be able to pay cmc 4 or cmc 2 even to remove this, if I happen to have that playable in my hand. Decks don't run clones main board generally and considering how non-interactive some cards are, not being able to legend them out makes them even more broken. I've said time and again: cards as powerful as  {Emrakul, the Aeons Torn} should never be printed.

I agree 100%. What's the point of even playing the game when a card like that hits the field? At that moment, it's no longer fun. And then I flip the table.

Unless your next turn you cast  {Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker}, use his -2 and take control of  {Emrakul, the Aeons Torn}

@ evacide: WELL YES!! But Black first, over all :) I like rot & decay.

@ rarehuntertay: YES!!! NICOOOOOOOLLLLL!!!

Kaleo42

I dont think we can expect them to have 10+ stats. I personally would love them to function as creatures but have echantment like qualities. {Hellrider} and {Varolz, the Scar-Striped} are good examples of what I am talking about. However in keeping with the lore of olympus style gods, their powers could be both limited and exagerated based upon what shrines (enchantments) are erected in their name.

LadyGrixis

I'm hoping they bring out some fabulous Gorgons. I've always wanted to make a Gorgon deck, as well as a Minotaur deck, but there just aren't enough decent cards to play.

Agrus Kos, Enforcer of Truth

I know it won't happen but...Zeus, supreme god who uses lightning...{Lightning Helix}...please?

"The gods can take multiple forms and walk among mortals."

I just took that from Thero's storyline
Does that mean that you will be able to transform your Gods ?? I mean, just imagine this:
*Opponent plays a card that destroys all creatures with flying*
*Your god has flying, you pay {1}{B}, transform him into a 2/2 human with Shadow*
*Your God doesn't get destroyed, next turn pay {2}{B}{B} re-transform him to the 9/9 Flying Deadtouch God creature*

Or this:

*You play a card that deals damage to target creature and/or player, equal to twice the number of Minotaurs you control*
*Just before you cast it, pay {1}{R}{R} transform your God to a 3/3 First Strike Minotaur*
*Deal 2 extra damage*
*Next turn pay {2}{R}{R} re-transform him to a 11/7 Flying Haste God creature

Something like that
Each god could have 3 different transformations

Mizark

Yeah kinda like that
Except of getting better it would simply give you different options on what you can be
maybe like this
First transformation option: different creature type
Second transformation option: different card type
Third transformation option: different color or become colorless

This could hold relevance, I remember seeing somewhere that the blue god likes to take the form of a merfolk

Mattao19

What about a new morphing version of morphing where it can start face down then become a god but at any time you can flip it back face down and it gains Hexproof since it blends in with the humans
