Birdbrain, I sincerely wish someone to join the forums one day that shares your passion for everything color wise in magic lol.

This!  I don't mean it in a malicious way at all, either!  I wish I had more creativity in that respect.

.... I'm such a dork.. last night I had a dream they had started spoiling cards for theros.. and the three they released so far were generic vanilla monsters for green blue and white....

Im far to obsessed with spoilers...

Silent1236

Lol they ought to do that. Spoil the worthless cards only and make it seen like a really bad set, then have awesome cards released

Birdbrain

Dinosaur world could make generic vanilla creatures awesome

{Imperiosaur}!!

I'd love a dinosaur themed set...  That'd be so cool

DirtyMustachio

IT WAS A {NIGHTMARE} !!

Okay I believe that joke disqualifys me from posting in the future...

Birdbrain

{marganda petroglyphs}

See. A dinosaur world card that makes creatures with no abilities awesome

Proof its dinosaur world? Look at {imperasuars} flavor text

Dudecore

Vanilla matters set huh? MaRo has answered questions about that before. Although Theros doesn't seem the block (because its based on mythological heroes, monsters and gods - no one wants vanilla heroes).

Maybe in the future they will have a vanilla matters block, or set. It could be Born of Gods/Journey to Nyx. Thematically the gods could be giving regular people (vanilla) super powers through enchantments. It would REALLY screw up tokens, those decks would become pretty unbearable.

Birdbrain

Wow...selesnya should run the petroglyph. Lol

Birdbrain

We may see cards with three classifications. If they make the Gods enchantment creatures, then they will be:
Ledgendary enchantment creatures

After some thinking here are some thoughts I have had on speculation. The new clone rule discourages cheap unflavorable kills on legendaries and emcourages using each printing of a planeswalker to it's fullest.

On the planeswalkers this allows the same walkers to be printed and revamped at both higher and low CMC reguardless of what else sees a lot of play. No more {jace beleren} legend blading {jace, the mind sculpter} situations. Meaning new Elspeth could very well be a 3cmc just as much as a 6cmc. New garruk is a good example of this new playability dispite smaller garruks seeing lots of play.

As for legends and specifically gods...think eldrazi. It takes a lot of investement to make an eldrazi happen and once you get their 4cmc {clone} should not be an end all to all your hard work. With this concept in mind I am anticipating the gods being a similar or even greater workload to play with a high rate of return in their sheer power now that cloning is not the ultimate FU.

I actually hope the gods are drastically different from the eldrazi. Otherwise, they'll just seem like eldrazi, and be boring

Mlerner12

The Eldrazi are not boring. I mean, very new and different, but something like the Eldrazi. Like, "when this bvfhb enters the battlefield" and studf

that may be true. I wasn't playing around zenkidar, so I don't know. Though I still would like to see something unique with the gods, that the eldrazi don't do
