Venser would have to be a Zombie Wizard.

How about this:

Jace Beleren, Destroyer of Dreams {1}{U}{U}
Human Wizard
3/3
Flash, Hexproof

{U}: Return Target Creature to its controllers hand, draw a card.
{U}{U}: Counter target spell, draw a card.
{1}{U}{U}: You may choose new targets for target spell, draw a card.
{2}{U}{U}: Draw 3 cards, draw a card.

Not overpowered, right?
My opinion last ability should be draw 3 cards discard a card
-your plans are irrelevant I am finished here.

Maybe "dreams are merrly a fantasy. You may not see it, nor remember it, but I am doing you a favor".

Lilliana, Corruptor of Hearts           {B}{B}{B}{1}
Legendary Creature - Human Wizard
Mythic Rare

{B}{B}{B}: Target creature is black in addition to its other colors.

At the beginning of your upkeep, gain control of a black creature.

"What you call cruel, I call nessicary.  What you call selfish, I call preference.  What you call corruption, I call perfecting.  Regardless, I'll call you servant.
           -Lilliana
                                                                  [1/1]

Good flavor text, but Liliana is more selfishness than chaos... Maybe change unruly to selfish and entertainment to strong-willed? Since she is the "I know what I want" person. Otherwise, great!

FlickerYourOwnIdentity

How about now.  I didn't quite understand the strong-willed fitting with selfish, so I just put preference. :)

Or just better art altogether.
But, it's hard to beat Veil.

Destore117

So how about similar. But edited Veil art? Kinda like the Sorin pic already posted. Has his Lord of Innistrad look but art is all different

FlickerYourOwnIdentity

Maybe if she had an art where she was being followed by people with some symbol on them all.

Or she could be holding onto somebody while taking over their mind.

Or whatever, I dunno, even the Innistraid fat pack art would be cool. :)

You seem good at card making, so could youtry a Ral card?

I'll try again, he's a tough one though. :/

Mlerner12

The Secretist is a great series and helps a lot, might want to try reading it.

Destore117

If there's going to be a Ral Zarek creature he better stop with that extra turn shenanigans -.-

Mlerner12

That's my favorite art! All you need is my luck, and you usually get four extra turn s when he's at, like, 13, so on last extra you can get more! It is hi-LARIOUS!

Ral, Lord of Leylines                          {U}{R}{4}
Legendary Creature - Human Wizard
Mythic Rare

If Ral, Lord of Leylines is in your opening hand, you may put it onto the battlefield.

Whenever a card enters the battlefield, that wasn't cast, Ral, Lord of Leylines deals 3 damage to target creature or player.

"Such unfathomable concepts, and yet I have them at my disposal.  Well, you have to use what you have.
           -Ral
                                                                  [2/1]

Well, this may shock a few people, but Ral Zarek acually did study the Leylines.  I heard that in his story and I just went crazy about it because Leylines were so cool, and I wanted to see how that would incorporate into Dragon's Maze.  And it didn't.  So screw wizards, I'm incorrperating my Leylines! :)
