I don't think you can have it target itself with that, I could be wrong. I think it follows the same ruling with how you can't have couterspells target themselves.

Hmmm, I don't know. The wording makes me think you can, but I'm definitely no rules advisor!

I think you can because on {Oblivion Ring} is written that you can't target it self.
