{Mind Over Matter}, {Temple Bell}  (on the battlefield) any Eldrazi Titan in your library.

Once both are on the battlefield as long as it is your turn, and you have an Eldrazi Titan in your library you win the game. This combo is completely unstoppable. Tap temple bell to force everyone to draw, then discard a card to Mind Over Matter to untap the Temple Bell. Rinse and repeat. Because you do not pass priority to your left when using activated abilities on your own turn (instead priority is passed to yourself then to the left) you can continuously respond with the combo not allowing your opponents a word in edgewise. You just continue to do this combo until everyone draws out but you pitching the Eldrazi Titan to constantly refresh your library.

This is not true.

In order for any spell or ability to resolve, including both the Bell's and MoM's, priority must be passed to all players. You'll tap the bell, everyone will get a chance to respond, then everyone will draw. Then you'll discard a card to put MoM's ability on the stack targeting the bell, everyone will get a chance to respond, and then the ability will resolve, untapping the bell.

Further, when the Eldrazi hits the yard, its ability will go on the stack, giving everyone a chance to respond to that before it gets shuffled in.

Twiztid_ninja

This is where you are wrong. Read the errata. Players can respond to the Titan but read how priority is passed using activated abilities. Playing instants and aperçus work different then activated abilitys

What "errata"?

Both Temple Bell's and Mind Over Matter's abilities are activated abilities. That means everyone gets a chance to respond before they resolve.

Twiztid_ninja

Read how priority is passed. Been playing the game for 6 years think I know what I'm talking about bud. Errata, the MTG comprehensive rules.

Twiztid_ninja

Or ask any MTG judge. Either way that's the rules yes you can technically respond but the the  {Temple Bell}  {Mind Over Matter} combo can be continuously stacked infinitely on the stack making it resolve before any possible responses. Again there is a difference in how priority is passed between activated abilities and spells.

MementoMori

"608.1. Each time all players pass in succession, the spell or ability on top of the stack resolves."

You *must* pass priority before any of the bell's, enchantment's, or Eldrazi's abilities will resolve.

Wackaman9001

I think he is saying that he has priority after the ability resolves which is true, and he keeps it after he puts it on the stack,  which is true. His confusion stems fromthinking abilities resolve bbefore he has to pass priority if I am interpreting what he said correctly

Twiztid_ninja

Not about resolution it's because you can inifinatly respond to your own activated ability forcing any responses to the bottom of the stack essentially nulling out any response.

You'll need another infinite source of card draw that doesn't use the stack, then.

Because discarding is the cost of MoM's ability, you can't activate it with no cards in hand. In order to get more cards in your hand, you'll need to let Temple Bell resolve, meaning you will pass priority.

Twiztid_ninja

Look man, I have used this combo in Pro Tour qualifiers, I'm done explaining, you can use it or not Idc but I know how it works.

Can we please have a rule from gorzo/keyeto here? :)

Twiztid_ninja

Yes I know the but when it is your turn, and you use an an activated ability, priority passes to yourself first before it goes to the left. You can stack the triggers infinitely and have everything resolve simulatenously.

Ask, and you shall receive!

When a player casts a spell, it goes on the stack. Then, this happens:

116.3c: If a player has priority when he or she casts a spell, activates an ability, or takes a special action, that player receives priority afterward.

After that player casts the spell or activates an ability, they receive priority. You can cast as many spells or activate as many abilities (instant speed, of course) as you want in a row. However, they will not begin to resolve until both players pass priority in a row. I believe this is what Memento was trying to get across. Nothing will resolve until everyone gives the okay.

Twiztid_ninja

Which makes the combo unstoppable, thank you very much! This is a priority issue not a resolution issue. Yes you can respond but the other person can just bury your responses with ability triggers.
