My friend keeps doing this to me, is it legit?

Not legit the ink moth will become a 1/1 creature only once. If he does it 10 times, it is just redundant. It's placing the same effect on the stack and with the 10th mana it will still be a 1/1 not a 10/10.

Yeap to agar, and no it's not legit.

Unless it goes like "put a +1/+1 counter on inkmoth nexus" or "inkmoth nexus gets +1/+1 until end of turn"

When it says it becomes "1/1" it just becomes 1/1. That's it. Telling a pile of dung 10 times will not make it become a bigger pile of dung.
