If it is not good in standard, then how could it be good in modern?  Everything standard legal would also be modern legal; it would only be a matter if tournaments before people focuses on working around it.

Modern decks are completely different than standard if your agruement was valid then you could say that legacy and standard arnt so different. Modern needs force of will to keep combo decks and jund in check.  {Force of Will} in standard wont do anything to hurt the format considering  {Loxodon Smiter} is a real card and so many others

{Force of Will} will not be printed. They do not want it in modern. They don't want a 2 mana counter ({counterspell}), they'd NEVERRRRRR let a free counter in.

The shift is clearly toward creature combat, {Force of Will} will never, ever, ever, ever be printed in Standard. It's too degenerate and new players would hate it. I think it should be done, but thus far there is no indication they plan to support Legacy, or want Modern to become degenerate.

Said it before, and I'll say it again. I want the Lorwyn Elemental Incarnations back. {Purity}, {Guile}, {Dread}, {Hostility}, and {Vigor}.

Sadly, I doubt it it will ever happen, all because of {Dread} and the fact that he has Fear, a mechanic that will likely never be printed ever again after having been replaced by Intimidate.
