Gold Boreded cards, are they legal in say Fnms and stuff?

Spikepit

Gold bordered cards are simply multicoloured, non-Hybrid cards, so depending on what set they're from, yes they are.

{Olivia Voldaren} or {Glissa, the Traitor} or example, are legal at FNM (standard) nights.

{Zur, the Enchanter} or {Chromium}, are not.

No I mean like where there is either black or white bordered cards, there is gold and idk if it's legal I know silver, which is un cards, aren't torney legal are gold ones?

😳 ... can you think of a name to link for us? I have never seen a gold border at an FNM. I can't even remember what they mean!

Those are Premium cards often signed by the artist they have no special art but they are rare and to Cover the question i dont think they are banned just for being premium ;) Even if i wouldn't Play with them

Ah yes, that's right! Those are rare as Dragon Teeth in Aus, that's why I've had no need to think of them for years. Lol. Thanks Remasuri Ger!

So in that case, yes they are legal as long as the gold bordered card in has a reprint in a standard set, just like you can use the very first print of {Pacifism} in a Standard match today. However, I wouldn't use a gold bordered card at an FNM as that one card could be worth than the other guys whole deck! 💰💰💰

😁

Gold and silver bordered cards are not tournament legal. White and black only, please.

It is the World Championship Card that has a different backing than normal cards?  If so then they are not worth as much as regular cards.  They are fun to use in casual play or you maybe able to use them as proxies if you have the actual card in a binder or something.

They're not Championship cards, think of them as well made proxy cards. They were commissioned a long time ago and you could order a complete set online. The card frame and art are all different.

But yeah, I do play with some high rollers. I have mentioned my buddy's one deck worth over $4,000CAD, right?  He uses playsets of Revised dualies. 👑

Elitehalo360

Ohhh okay thanks guys :) I almost bought 8x {glimmervoid} on eBay for cheap thinking I was getting a great deal XD
