Hard to use, even for an iOS developer

First of all, let me thank you for putting obviously a lot of time and energy into the creation of iMtG, a nice thing to do for the community.

But really, even though I have used Apple and iOS software for ages and write iOS software myself (and so consider myself to be experienced in using these devices), I have a very hard time working my way through the app. Using the lists and tapping on items to go into detail views is not always consistent with Apple guidelines, and I especially have a very hard time actually entering my collection of cards and moving them into decks. The biggest thing that bugs me right now is entering a larger quantity of the same card into the database. The counters you can tap on simply confuse me, and if I add for example cards to my precious magic binder and then go to the my precious menu item in the main menu I can not find a single card I just entered. Filters are powerful, but can be very confusing as well.

I purchased the full app after having used the life counter on our recent (1st) tournament, and the other features look promising, but the lack of a good manual (which a clear app should not need at all) is really holding the app back for me right now. I will try more because I want this to work for my money, but I may send you some suggestions for the user interface if you dont mind.

Again, thanks for all the hard work, I know an app this big doesn't come easy.

What is confusing to you about how to enter quantities of cards? All that needs to be done is a tapping of the number, and that's it. As for not seeing cards in your precious, do you still have a locked filter on? If the filter is locked it will try and filter out the cards even in My Precious. Also, what would you suggest as fixes to these problems? I found the app rather simple to use, but I'm interested in hearing these ideas, and I'm sure Piotr is as well.

As I experiment more with the app, I will report any ideas in the "Ideas & Feedback" category of the forum.

I noticed that, even with various swamp cards in the My Precious book, the total number of cards reported was 0. I exited the app, then killed it, and restarted it, and then the My Precious book was empty!

Now if I enter a new swamp card it lets me put in the amount of cards I have. Previously it did not even let me go higher than 4, now the button 4+ lets me go higher and I can correctly set the amount of swamp cards. I will have another go at it and see if I find bugs, ideas for improvement and praise to share here.

Forgive me for finding details, it is just my bad habit ;-)

I'm not sure what would be causing your My Precious to disappear, perhaps Piotr will have some more helpful feedback on that. What version of the app are you using? And don't worry about finding details, it's what this section is for!

If there wasn't a 4+ button, only a 4, weren't you by mistake adding anything to a deck?

I find that on the iphone series as well as other apple devices that usually the function to go backwards is in the top left. But in this app, it is completely different. I too have a developer's license and out of sheer habit, i click what i am used to being the "back" function, which of course sends you to the main page. Just a slight difficulty that I believe would make navigating the forums easier.

Do not exaggerate please. Back button works exactly as it should, it gets you back to iMtG. It also works exactly as in Apple apps in the app.

I didnt say it didnt work, i'm just saying that it's awkward to use. One press, home forum menu; 2nd press, back to imtg home. Would make general usage easier.

No, it would confuse the .poo. out of people, they expect full history in the browser.
