Trample blocked by death touch

If I m attacking with a creature with trample and my opponent blocks with a creature with death touch does trample still active ?

I believe your trample damage will go through, but your creature will die. But, if the deathtoucher has first strike, then your trampler will die before it's damage goes through.

Pete is correct. All damage is done simultaneously (with the exception of first/double strike), and deathtouch does not change this. Your trample damage will go through.
