My daughter Marin had surgery today. All went well, was a nice quick one. She was up and... Wait, she was awake after 30 minutes.
She has had her tonsils removed and has gotten tubes (is that the term?) in her ears. Hopefully this will spell an end to almost chronic colds and shortness of breath.

Well, in a way. Often used in the case of recurring ear infections, but they also relieve pressure on the eardrums in case of a pressure difference between inner and outer ear. In her case, it is because of infections though, so Taysby is spot on.
