Confirm these two things about {Firewing Phoenix}?

1) In its ability, the word "Return" (from graveyard to hand) does not only apply if it went from hand to graveyard, but also if it went from battlefield to graveyard, right? Seems in most cases the battlefield is where it would be coming from. Battlefield to graveyard to hand is how it is designed to work, right?

2) The ability does not have to be played immediately on entering the graveyard, but any later time when I have the mana?

The card is testing well with me and I wouldn't want to learn that it is narrower than I thought.

1) As long as its in the graveyard, you can use the ability. It doesn't matter how it got there.

2) You do not have to use the ability as soon as it hits the grave. You may use it on a later turn.
