I was flipping through my random jank rares to find something legacy to build for an upcoming tournament, and I flip to some card,  {Survival of the Fittest} and instantly think of  {Misthollow Griffin}. You can exile the misthollow griffin for one mana of any color, replay it, ad nauseum to generate an infinite amount of mana. Maybe add  {Glimpse of Nature} and grapehot to bash your opponents face. My other option for my legacy deck for the upcoming tourney would be playing Cheerios, which is very well positiobed in the meta, and more consistent than Belcer and Oops! All Spells!.

I'm honestly lost on this combo, how are you exiling  {Misthollow Griffin} with  {Survival of the Fittest}? And where is the mana coming from to re-cast it?

NickN

Isn't {survival of the fittest} banned in legacy?

Just checked. Yes it is

Also, if memory serves, discard is different than exile,

With that in mind, there is a way, if playing black/green, to lose no critters in getting creatures from your library.
By using  {Haunted Crossroads} with the {survival of the fittest} you can negate creature loss
I know, not legacy legal, just something I had thought of when seeing this combo.

Sorry i meant  {Food Chain}.

{food chain} +{misthollow griffin} + {warstorm surge} = infinite damage
+{soul warden} = infinite life

Or {fireball}

"Use this mana only to cast creature spells" - {food chain}
