Pod Decks are pretty sweet, I wanna play one one day, just for fun. How well does it play against your meta?

loop-s-pool

In between well and very well, I never have tested this exact build but close to it. The one closest to this went 5-1

Ehh, closest one went 1-4
Your build or are you mocking me?
I'm saying that a deck that is almost exactly like this, with the exception of a few DA stuff went 1-4 in my local FNM. I'm sorry if this is the truth, but this deck simply isn't that good.

'Almost exactly like this' for a pod deck can change everything. Say, where do you FNM at?

well I'd say either that guy had crap hands or he wasn't a good player because this deck looks like a pretty solid pod deck.

I'm sorry, bad people don't come to my fnm unless they want to be humiliated in front of everyone. Even if bad people come once in awhile, they become good fast. Pod decks don't exist anymore in the metagame, with all the artifact and creature destroys and aggro decks, it is nearly impossible to run a pod deck without being crushed on games 2 and 3. (as an obvious point, pod decks really don't work without pod or creatures.)

Agreed. I was crushed to see how much hate Pod has. I mean, {Ancient Grudge} and {Stony Silence} are one thing, but seriously? {Grafdigger's Cage}?

So much hate.

No Prophylaxis, there actually isn't a whole of hate actually, honestly it's about for every artifact hate I encounter, I face 8 times more {Oblivion rings}, and those aren't even that threatining while packing 3x {Acidic Slimes}

Can we get a moderator in here to fix the nasty things being written lol things are gonna get pretty ugly otherwise

Apple may be a bit forward with the way he comes off as a player and with his advice, but his advice hasn't been without the intent of helping people improve, which it has I believe.

I'm also going to agree with apple and prophylaxis on this one, not that you shouldn't play a pod deck I love the basis of them and would really like to play one, but with those cards alone there is easily a lot of hate to remove or stop a pod quite quickly. Maybe where you play though you are able to overcome it like you said which is excellent! But I believe for a majority of people it's not so easy to play a pod deck without some hate

That's true, there isn't a whole lot of hate against my deck where I play, considering a lot of people are playing esper colors and I am the only pod player.

I know. I used to run pod back in the day {Priest of Urabrask is sick tech}, but the hate just made me switch to Architect.
