It sucks that gatecrash, the set i was most excited for is so disapointing the cards are medicore and dont get me wrong some of them are really good like  {Obzedat, Ghost Council} this guy us completely insane but the planeswalkers are bad {Gideon, Champion of Justice} will never be good and if he is you just die because they have so many creatures,  {Domri Rade} is just awkard in the decks you want him in. My favorite part of gatecrash are the shock lands,  {Obzedat, Ghost Council} and  {Zameck Guildmage} but other than that its kinda bad.

Dudecore

I will agree that the set is underwhelming at best. But it does have shock lands, some EDH cards for me. I can't see myself playing a lot of limited, or any.

I see the new Gideon as a commander plainswalker

Its just pump spells and return to ravnica was so good it puts a big black cloud over gatecrash, dont get me wrong the cards that are good are super over powered like  {Obzedat, Ghost Council} is just insane and it gave decks that are already goid more power but i dont see decks being made just from gatecrash besides esper and jund

Make sure you read  {Gideon, Champion of Justice} he says only target player

I know this I play commander more then anything else I tend to over read cards

I keep telling myself it sucks just because I won't have the money to invest into it for a whole hahah. I try not to get excited about things i can't have 😪

This is why he's a commander plainswalker 😆 there's always one creature heavy player in a group

If a player has enough creatures to make him good then you are pretty much dead comsidering they have that many creatures

You +1 {Gideon, Champion of Justice} then field wipe and you'll be ok.

So you have to work to make him? Which makes a planeswalker bad

We're not saying he would be great in the EDH format but only good. If you play with {Doubling Season} then Gideon could be a good beater early one. Most cards that are printed don't seem good at first but there is always a format that can use such a card.

Coffee Vampire

Hah I see what you did there with the title ;)

It all depends on what kind of strategy you use really. I'm sure some cards could work. You just have to try them before your disappointed
