I put little slips of black and blue colored computer paper on the insides of 28 different cards in my main deck and my sideboard. They're located on the front of the card. Is it against tournament rules? Also you can't tell they're there unless you look at the front of the card if course.

Also no not cool. The fact that its done to only 28 cards suggests a system of marking. The arguement can be made you can tell the difference between them and therefor cheat.

I assume they are sideboard notes but... You can literally just use a note card to list your probable sideboard changes.

Artistic modifications are acceptable in sanctioned tournaments, provided that the modifications do not make the card art unrecognizable, contain substantial strategic advice, or contain offensive images. Artistic modifications also may not obstruct or change the mana cost or name of the card.

The Head Judge is the final authority on acceptable cards for a tournament.

I'd rather do this if its allowed, I'm doing this because I'm having trouble returning the cards in my sideboard from the deck back to the sideboard. I just tried this last Tuesday at a tourney and there was some controversy and a little bit more drama than I would have liked so that's why in asking.

If the mark is on the front of the card only and it doesn't give you any strategy while playing, and does not restrict the view of mana cost, name, etc. then it is fine.

But it's not a mark, it's slips of paper. Thus, however minimal the difference of thickness is, there is still a difference. One could argue that you can tell which cards are marked or not due to the thickness.

Woahhh I didn't catch that they were actual physical things he put inside the sleeves. Yeah...I would avoid that. Just memorize your sideboard.

Or do what I do, different colored sleeve with a junk card and a price of paper with my sideboard on it. Quick and easy.

Can't you just use a sharpie and mark the card side to help sideboard and aren't sideboards limited to 15 cards

Yes and yes. But if a sb card holds value, players may not want to sharpie it.

Put notes in th sideboard cards and remove them when you sb in cards.. You can put all the notes you need in the sb, with the exact same result.. Just keep em in sb cards sleeves so that it wont matter

While its empty, push the sides of the sleeve together as to open it and allow access inside. Then, take a sharpie and mark on the inside of sleeve. Let it dry and insert card. You don't ruin a good card by marking it, and people don't complain about you putting slips of paper in the sleeves with your cards. Win/win.

Just make sure the sleeve isn't opaque

Ok this sounds odd and possibly usefull could you please explain this better?
