I think a better card would be that new 2 drop blue zombie that mills for 2

Hey, i'm a zombie lover here. I'd consider adding 3 cemetery reapers straight up. Sets your card limit at the natural 60, and maxes out your lord count. Cause lords are the most important part of zombies. Also, you might cut all copies of dream twist. There isn't enough mill to satisfy milling yourself or your opponent. In their place put any combination of reanimate stuff. I like ghoulcaller's chant the most because you get two back. Also, gravedigger is nice. Better than ghoulraiser cause it lets you choose which zombie to bring back to your hand. If you can find room, be sure to add mana leaks! This is the most important part of any control based deck. And it's cheap too!

If you need it, i have a couple suggestions for a sideboard as well

To evaluate this deck, we must first look at the polar opposite: WW humans for comparison. The humans deck runs high powered things such as hero, crusader, angelic destiny, etc etc.... This deck runs, ghoul raiser, cemetery reaper, and endless ranks. In comparison, the humans deck is much much faster and contains much more powerful things. This deck simply can't deal with a turn four hero or a turn four angelic. When pitted, against eachother, zombies will lose most of the time and it will be a bit depressing. Zombies are a good idea, but the cards simply don't exist to create the ideal zombie deck.
In comparison, these decks are actually quite similar even if they are polar opposites. Both decks focus on massing an army and boosting them. If you are looking for a deck that follows the general guidelines, then humans would outweigh zombies. (even extremely budgeted it is still good)

I am a little saddened by the general lack of quality in Zombies in Standard. 😢
Do you think the DKA zombies like {Gravecrawler} and {Geralf's Messanger} will help zombies be more competitive?

PS: are you working online, or are you typing all of that on an iPhone? ðŸ"±

I work on iPhone.
I think (quite frankly) that those cards are overrated. They tried to make another kitchen finks and it didn't work. When compared to the humans in the humans deck, those two cards wouldn't even exist. Sure gerralf's messenger will probably see some play, it is not as good as what people claim it to be, and there would probably be combo decks that play it, zombies can continue to weep.

Actually what I aim for next are some rune binders any thoughts on them? (for those who don't know, rinebindr is a 4 mana human that lets me exile a creature from my graveyard, turn out a 2/2 and give all zombies a 1/1 counter for 3 mana)

Forum Pro Tip #1:  putting curly brackets around card names creates a link to them in the app.  See:  {Havengul Runebinder}
