Realmwright  U
All lands u control are also (pick basic land type).

Does this let them add that kind of mana too?
If it says "you control," then no...

I'm reading where people are saying that this is only so long as you control him.  Now, if that were the case, wouldn't it have the "As long as you control..." phrase?  Here's the picture that has it in there.  Also, I want to call shenanigans on the Master Biomancer in there.  Wouldn't the proper wording be "and is a Mutant", not "and as a Mutant"?

That would be completely redundant. Then all static or triggered abilities would need to specify "as long as you control" or "its controller."

Lifelink, for instance, implicitly refers to its controller, not its owner. Otherwise, stealing a hexproof or lifelink creature would be a much less appealing proposition.

Look at {Pillory of the Sleepless}: it would be garbage if it was not referring to its controller.

Pillory is different, it's an enchantment.  Look at {Olivia Voldaren}.  "Gain control of target Vampire for as long as you control Olivia Voldaren."

The point of that addendum is that if she leaves play, you don't get to keep them.

My point is that say you've got 3 islands when you play Realmwright.  You say Swamp.  So now they are Island Swamps.  If he leaves play, those 3 should stay Island Swamps.  If they didn't want that to happen, they should and would have said "as long as you control".

I'm not trying to say that his ability persists through ALL your lands.  Only the ones on the battle field when he leaves.

Coffee Vampire

The difference is wording. If it was:
"Lands you control become that type in addition..." (As an etb effect)
Then you would be right.

But it says:
"Lands you control are that type in addition..."
The key word is "are" vs, "become". The lands don't become another type (like island swamp), they just "are" two types while it is on the battlefield (because it ony has that ability as a creature permanent).

Ah, okay.  That makes sense.  Now, what about the wording on the Biomancer?  That seems wrong as well.

Seer is bad against decks that run thragtusk. You make them lose 5 life for recealing it (that is, IF you don't make them flip a land...very possible). Then they gain it back when they cast it. Yay for giving your opponent more goodstuff.

I can see this card as the top curve in an esper delver deck though. IF they right tempo cards are printed. Make your opponent lose life constantly, while swinging with delvers (that you can reanimate with {Orzhov Charm}.

If delver comes back i will take the personal responsibility of burning ever single one of that .poo. of a card.....

I'm sorry :/ I hated delver back in m12....

Coffee Vampire

Don't worry it probably won't. Wizards won't print a splashable (almost) hardcounter and 0 drop cantrips this time lol

So, one is they get thragtusk and break even and the other is they get thragtusk and are five ahead. In addition, they have to be carefu about drawing their bombs instead of milling them.

47/55 rares. 14/15 Mythics.

Maybe Boros and dimir will get some really boss uncommons
Yeah, because {Boros Charm} isn't the most powerful Charm out of all of them or anything... XD

Quackmaster5

Mother of god! So far, two guild mages create infinite combos.
