He has 12 humans in his deck as is, and then the {gather the townsfolk} as well...
This isn't really a token deck, just humans with some token spawn. If this is to be a token deck, I would not use champion

ChrisRodriguez

{Doomed Traveler}, {Mirrian Crusader}, {Accorder Paladin}, and {Gather the Townsfolk} all are humans or produce humans I say that's alot when you have 4 of each.

Exactly, if he were building a token dek, then I agree, no {champion of the parish}. However, in the deck's current state, a champion would work very well in it.

A true token deck does not use those. (well maybe the doomed traveler and gather townsfolk)

T1: {Champion of the Parish}
T2: {Gather the Townsfolk} swing for three chump block with two 1/1s

ChrisRodriguez

I say take out {Memnite} and { Ralley the Peasents} for {Champion of the Parish} and {Honor of the Pure}.

ChrisRodriguez

But like I said before I like the deck for just straight beat face.

I dunno, facing a first turn {Signal Pest} with one or two {Memnite}s followed by a second turn battle cry dude would make me groan.
I'm not sure about your mana base though.

Kuldotha Red?

Alaskanice

Hmmm, and that land base is really confusing... I would remove a few swamps... I don't see enough black to justify splashing that many swamps...

Validan

Wow I don't check the deck post for a day thinking no one was interested and you guys go crazy and make two whole pages lol

Just wanted to be sure I could flashback the {lingering souls}

One of the reasons why I didn't put either {honor of the pure} or {intangible virtue} in is because I didn't want to be stuck with dead cards, I know there's definite benefits but with {rally the peasants} it can end games very quickly

Honestly, I don't really think {rally the peasants} is that good. They can still just chump block your creatures, and up killing half of them while doing it because your guys have no toughness bonus.
Also, I'd drop the swamps and just have dual lands in there. The flashback isn't worth all of those swamps (maybe 4 lands that produce black mana) unless you add more black tokens to make it more token deck and less human.

ChrisRodriguez

10{Planes}
4{Isolated chapel}
2{Dragonskull Summit}
3{Swamp}
2{Ghost Quarter}
At least that's how I would have my mana base if I wasn't going to change the deck in any way.

I see what you're saying but with all of the flying creatures providing lots of evasion they have a better chance of getting hits in dont they?

Though the constant stat bonuses can definitely come in handy for longer games...maybe I'll try both and see which works better
